Let’s jump straight into the presentation. So to help you pass your interview in this video, I will cover three things.
- Number one, I will tell you the number one secret that will enable you to pass every single job interview you ever attend.
- Number two, I will tell you the five words five powerful words you should use during your interview to pass a number.
- Number three. I will give you a brilliant, scripted answer to one of the hardest interview questions you will have to respond to.
Secret number one
The number one secret for passing any job interview is to always put yourself in the shoes of the interviewer and then give them what they want. Because if you know what the interviewer wants and what they are looking for from the successful candidate, you will pass your interview. So what does the interviewer want? Let’s take a look. So the interviewer wants three things from the successful candidate.
Number one
- Number one, they want someone who is positive and enthusiastic during your interview.
- Make sure you smile. Speak up and be enthusiastic about the role you are applying for. Because remember, this positivity attracts positivity.
- If you are negative, monotone in your answers or you are disrespectful about former employers or co-workers, you will not get hired.
- And don’t forget to dress professionally and take pride in your appearance. You will be assessed against these during your interview.
- The second thing an interviewer wants is someone who is self sufficient. This is really important. Interviewers look for someone who can work in a team structure, someone who can make decisions and solve problems on their own, and someone who can be relied upon to plan, organize and prioritize their work.
- Employers do not want to spend their valuable time constantly supervising and monitoring someone.
- So before you attend your interview, make sure you have examples ready of when you have previously, no one worked with other people as part of a team.
Number two
Number two made a difficult decision on your own and number three where you have organized and prioritized your work effectively. Because if you give the interviewer examples and evidence of where you have already worked to the standards they expect, you will significantly increase your chances of getting hired.
Number three
- And the third thing an interviewer wants is someone who will go above and beyond what is expected. Again, this is really important. It’s going to help you pass your interview.
- Now there are two types of employee those who stick rigidly to their job description, and they won’t do anything else to help out their employer and those who are flexible, willing to do tasks that are outside of their comfort zone and they are prepared to stay behind late after work to help out if needed.
- So during your interview, tell the hiring manager that you are the type of employee who will always be flexible and who will go above and beyond what is normally expected.
Secret number two
Let me now tell you the five words powerful words you should use during your job interview to pass. Now there are certain words all interview candidates use in an interview. Words such as tea worker, professional problem solver. Now, the hiring manager has heard these words a thousand times before, but to stand out from everyone else, you need to choose words and phrases that will make the hiring manager sit up and listen. Let’s take a look at them.
- Number one, instead of saying I am a good team worker, say this instead. In this role, I will always collaborate with my coworkers to ensure we quickly meet the team’s objectives. The word collaborate is far more powerful than teamwork.
- Number two, instead of saying I am hard working, say this instead in my work, I am always diligent, conscientious and I will never miss a deadline. Diligent and conscientious are words that again are far. More powerful than hard working, No.
- Three, instead of saying I am professional, say this instead whilst carrying out my duties, I will always be competent and proficient. Now, every other candidate will use the word professional to describe themselves during the interview, but by using words such as competent and proficient, you are speaking on a level the hiring manager will relate to number four. Instead of saying, I am a good problem solver, say this instead. I am always solution orientated whilst dealing with challenges and problems. Now, solution orientated tells the interviewer, You are someone who is entirely focused on achieving a positive outcome whilst dealing with problems.
- Number five, instead of saying I have high standards, say this. Instead, I am a detail orientated person who can be relied upon to adhere to all company policies and procedures. Now, detail orientated tells the hiring manager You are someone who can be relied upon to do their work to the necessary standards.
